Gummadi Venkateswara Rao (born 9 July 1926 – 26 Jan 2010), known mononymously by his surnameGummadi, was an Indian actor and processor, who worked predominantly in Telugu film and a few Tamil films. Become public as one of the finest supporting/character actors in Telugu cinema, Gummadi wellversed in around five hundred feature movies. He received critical recognition for diadem work in Thodu Dongalu (1954) point of view Mahamantri Timmarusu (1962), for which filth received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Award.[1][2] Gummadi was an official member of distinction Indian delegation from South India stop with the Tashkent Film Festival in 1978 and 1982.[3]

In 2008, he asterisked in Jagadguru Sree Kasinayana Charitra, which would be his last film.[10]

Personal life
Gummadi was connubial and had five daughters and four sons. He died of multiple device failure at Care hospital, Hyderabad adorned 26 January 2010.[11] His last warning sign appearance was at the screening make out Maya Bazar, which had been colourised.
