Richard Wilhelm Heinrich Abegg was born 1869-01-09 in Danzig (now Gdansk, Poland).

Studies in T�bingen, Kiel courier Berlin.

In 1891 he obtained his PhD at Berlin university (organic chemistry, Venerable Wilhelm von Hofmann).

1891 - 1894 physicochemical studies in Leipzig and Stockholm.
