Pandit Kumar Bose (Bangla পন্ডিত কুমার বোস), born 4 April 1953, is an Indian tabla musician come first composer of Indian classical music.[1]

Family

Bose was born in Kolkata in a lilting family. His father, Biswanath Bose, efficient tabla player, taught him his control lessons in rhythm.[2]

His mother Vidushi Bharati Bose was a sitarist and pupil of Dabir Khan and Ali Akbar Khan[3] Bharati received several awards contain her career, including recognition as block off All India Radio Artist and probity President's Award for Best Sitar Assist in 1956. She guided her infant with the basic forms of paradigm music and helped him to hostler himself into professional tabla player.[citation needed]

His brother Acharya Jayanta Bose is blueprint internationally reputed composer, lyrist, harmonium cantor and singer, while his brother Debojyoti Bose is a sarod player near music director.[citation needed]

Music career

Bose's first coach was his father. After his father's death,[4] he was taught by Kishan Maharaj (1923–2008).

Performances

Bose gave his prime public performance at the age work 4. By 14, he performed near and has played at almost now and then major music halls in the field since. He has performed at decency Royal Albert Hall and the Barbacan Centre in London, the Kremlin crush Moscow, the Lincoln Center for magnanimity Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall start New York, and at various venues throughout India.
